PEGORETTI ROAD BICYCLES | MOOTS ROAD BICYCLES
Aside from Moab, Utah, Dreamride shares Big Island secrets with fit and skilled private couples and small groups. Our HAWAII trips are private, full-service (food, lodging, equipment), vehicle-supported, point-to-point pavement AND/or dirt treks combined with watersports and cultural and culinary attractions. We also offer custom charter trips on Colorado's Front Range, Colorado's Western Slope, through Navajo Lands in Utah and Arizona, and in North Carolina, Northern California, Belgium and Holland. EMAIL with questions and for details on specific routes, activities and destinations. Company owners have lived in all locations we offer.
1) Optional daily pavement and/or dirt road rides based from Moab can arranged within any VACATION package booked with an ELITE SERVICE UPGRADE.
2) Dreamride's RIDE FROM TOWN (RFT) three day package that does not include lodgings. It is most appropriate for small groups or clubs of avid road riders. See "Lee's Training Series" below for the best deal on a mostly from town road riding series.
3) Private groups of two to six may reserve custom vehicle-sagged long distance trips in Southern Utah, on the BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII, or Colorado's Front Range or Western Slope. These custom trips are for private parties only. Custom trips outside of Moab require a month to a year advance reservation, depending on destination and departure dates.
4) For Moots and Pegoretti clients who purchase a complete Dreamride bicycle we offer free lodgings and discounted guide services, when you come to Moab to pick up and/or break-in your bike. Click on THE PACKAGE for information on how to proceed with a bike purchase/vacation combo.
5) About rentals: Road bike rentals in Moab are scarce. We have a very few hybrid conversions and showroom Moots and Pegoretti road demos in our shop, but sizes are limited, and renting high end road demos is restricted. Less experienced riders are welcome to use mountain bikes with skinny tires. 29er conversions are extremely efficient and highly recommended on canyon country's roughest pavement and county dirt roads! 29ers with smooth rolling tires are more than fine for road rides in Moab.
Lee Bridgers shares his favorite from-town rides. The series starts with a 40 mile flat land ride along the Colorado River. There are always attractions such as petroglyphs, wildlife and dinosaur tracks. Lee stops for interpretation, if you show interest. The second day is 70 mile ride, a long and steady climb onto the Island in the Sky, then a descent back to Moab. The third day's ride attacks the western slope of the La Sals, a "locals' ride" that puts Moab's rural character on display, offers optional mileage at altitude, and can include a scenic swim in crystal clear water surrounded by the Moab Rim and the La Sal Mountains. The swim is an option during summer months. All these rides are from town, departing directly from our shop with no need for a shuttle vehicle. An emergency vehicle and driver is always on call.

Complete Road Packages ~
THE PACKAGE is a bike purchase and Moab vacation combination. Dreamride is an authorized dealer of Moots, Pegoretti, Lynskey, Merckx, and Land Shark road bicycles. We also offer Pinarello to tour clients only.
Moots is the king of Moab road bikes. Our roads can be rough. A Moots road bike is as smooth as it gets, while remaining laterally rigid for powering up steep grades. A Moots softens potholes and the vibration of chipseal surfaces like no other bicycle frame. Our Mountain Road builds of Moots frames were designed with Moab's road challenges in mind.
Dario Pegoretti's frames go fast. In 2007 Tom Boonen took the green jersey in the Tour De France on a Pegoretti. This was not the first time a winner in the tour was seen on a Pegoretti with some big company's logos on it. This list is long and includes Miguel Indurain who won five Tours on Pegoretti frames. Like ordinary people, pro riders PAY for the privledge to ride a Pegoretti. There are no sponsorship deals available for Pegoretti frames. Almost every racer would prefer a Pegoretti to carbon bikes their sponsors make them ride. Steel is not just real. It is the current state-of-the-art. If you doubt this, you haven't ridden a Pegoretti. Art is another reason to own a Pegoretti. Each frame's paint is museum quality. If the wait for a Pegoretti scares you, we carry Land Shark, the American version of state-of-the-art steel.
Using the pedestrial bridge over the Colorado River avoids the white knuckle experience of the bridge (and construction) on Highway 191, which is unsafe in so many ways. On many rides from town, the pedestrian bridge is the first place to slow down to enjoy the sunrise, cool air and glory of the Colorado River Gorge.
Bike paths avoid traffic, connect to backroads and pass unique places of cultural interests. This paved bikeway starts just a few feet from our shop, making it a welcome introduction to Moab as we pedal through city parks, along a lovely creek to roads that take us out of the valley into other canyons or up the slopes into the La Sal mountains.
