This is a custom city bike meticulously made from a pristine vintage Manitou HT mountain bike racing frame. It has a 29 inch front wheel and a 26 inch rear wheel. All parts pictured are new except the pedals, which are not included in the price. The Manitou frame was ridden for about 20 miles at one time when it was built up as a show bike to sit in our window. It has a single minor scuff on the side of the headtube (caused by grease attracting sand under the cable on its only ride). You can see the frame is amazingly well designed and fabricated and quite clean. Parts used were Nitto Mustache bar, Salsa stem, Shimano Ultegra levers, Dura Ace bar con shifters, Avid shorter brakes, Tange cromo fork with Mavic brake adjuster. Wheels are Chris King Classic Mountain hubs laced with DT Comp black spokes and red alloy nipples to a matching set of Mavic rims (519 rear, A319 rear---32 spokes per wheel). Tires have glow in the dark sidewalls and slime tubes. The bar tape is Fizik Dual. Saddle is a WTB Pure V with titanium rails. Post is a vintage new Syncros. This bike was build with San Francisco in mind. It has 18 speeds with a low gear of 32 front X 34 rear cog, and a high of 46 X 11. Derailleurs are Shimano XTR. Rear derailleur is Rapid Rise.
