This is a road conversion of a 1990's vintage Specialized Hard Rock mountain bike found in the Moab City Dump.  The frame was in very good condition with a single very small dent in the top tube, worthy of lightly used and new parts below.  The build and parts were a blessing to a frame and fork that are perfect of this sort of conversion.

  • New parts:  Shimano/Mavic 319 wheelset.  FSA Energy compact road crankset and bottom bracket.  Shimano Tiagra road front derailleur.  Wipperman chain (no tools necessary for chain removal).  Shimano SLX rear deraileur, cassette and trigger shifters.  Avid linear pull brakes and Mavic brake covertion to 700c wheelsize.  Seatpost.
  • Used parts:  WTB Pure V Titanium railed saddle.  Nitto Mustache bar.  Shimano bar end shifters.  Stem and headset are the only parts used from the original bike aside from the frame.
