Ventana's El Chamuco is something special. It impressed us so thoroughly that we will be licensing the design sometime in the future for our own trail/freeride bike, wearing the Dreamride logo. This frame has upped the ante in the single pivot poker game with smart attention to detail. This instrument was built around a perfect pivot location, to be light, strong and laterally rigid. The stunning overall frame design is enhanced by a gem of a linkage system that stiffens the swingarms as they pass the seat tube. The surface is shotpeened for strength, then anodized red to lavish those legendary Ventana fishscale welds with hotness. We dress the El Chamuco in our best trail and freeride bike builds. We modified the SuperEgo kit specifically for the El Chamuco frame. This is as good as it gets for most mountain bikers, our most popular build. This is the El Chamuco with modified light cross country stuff on it, but with freeride feel, comfort and stability. The SuperEgo Grouppo is a no-compromise combo of high end jewelry, delicately balancing light weight with durabiltity for a specific weight and riding style, while giving you a bike that will make people stop on the trail and drool. If you ride rough trails, it produces a very fine do-everything bike, not a flopper or stunt bike, but a light enough long travel XC bike to help you go up, descend FAST and handle the occassional drop. Put together after a lengthy consultation, parts may be altered for your own personal needs and body, but the result is always beauty that begs to go FASTER. This is the best all-around bike for an agressive or big boned cross country rider, someone who wants comfort and strength. This build, like all of our bikes featuring Chris King hubs and headsets, is color-keyed for a stunning visual effect. Custom finishes can be arranged. NEW FOR 2003, the XDreamTrail is no-compromise. It is our most exotic, light weight, rough terrain build, perfect for this frame. It is a step toward rough riding, but a step back from balls-out freeride chairllfting. For the XDreamTrail we start with state-of-the-art ultralight downhill racing parts and mix in choice exotic ultra strong, light and reliable cross country racing parts. This blend serves up downhill-specific handling qualities on the descent, while taking full advantage of light weight parts, fork extension adjustment and rear shock progressive compression circuilts to keep the bike light enough, upright enough and responsive enough to climb with the best trail bikes. We tweak the overall handling toward speed and control, but a range of adjustment is available from the saddle, if you find yourself on tight, technical trail. The consultation on this build is the best value we offer. This is a great bike for a smart rider who wants accurate handling at speed over moderate to very rough terrain, who wants a bike that accelerates like a rocket on rough rollies when everyone else is struggling. It is a ledge eater, able to take on the occasional drop, light enough to be used for your main cross country ride. With looks like a trim DH racer, the XDreamride has parts from the extreme high end of available components, chosen because they are the best for the job. Price was not a consideration when picking these parts. Whatever worked best is on the bike. A 20mm thru axle fork is standard. The handbuilt wheels feature King ISO hubs , 2.2, 2.4 or 2.5 WTB tires, and a large front disc rotor. Weight savings come from strong, light components with a focus on lighter components as they get further off the ground. It can be a shuttle monkey, but your want to climb with it, too. No upgrades needed--the bike is there already, precisely balanced, waiting for you to catch up. All parts are color-keyed for visual effect.
