Corona, Bow Tie, and Gold Bar Arches Hike
This hiking trip takes approximately five hours and presents you with three of the most spectacular arches in canyon country. The trip culminates in a beautiful view of the Colorado River Gorge. The trail contains a few spots where you must pull yourself up a cable and scale a ladder bolted into the rock. Distance is not challenging, but this hike may not be for anyone who experiences vertigo. As you can see by the photos, this hike is great for photographers.
Recommended season for this hike is late fall or early spring, but anytime is fine except during rare periods of winter when ice remains in shadey spots. The trail is off limits to mountain bikes.
Options: There are several additional hiking spots nearby and an optional route into a very private and stunning box canyon perfect for a family picnic. Combining this hike with a mountain bike trip onto the White Rim is a perfect full day trip. Dreamride also offers HELCOPTER TOURS that include a fly-through of Corona Arch. Click on the link to see a picture of a fly-through.
