The picture directly below is of padding I have included with this bike built for a mountain biking beginner. This is an advanced rider's bike, but the client came to Moab for a SKILLS CLINIC and wanted the very best bike for riding trails around her hometown, Steamboat Springs, Colorado. What better than a Moots Cinco for trails around the very home of the Moots factory? Owning a Moots in Steamboat is like owning a Ferrari in Milan--you are an important member of an exclusive club. For the initial break-in period for bike and client, these pads are installed with provided zipties to keep the privates safe whenever she has to bail without fear while learning the ropes of singletracking. Be sure to point all ziptie connections ("heads") down and as far away from contact with the body as possible. Notice where the connections are in the photograph. Wrap zipties across the cable stops to the front on the front and rear on the rear so that the compression of the zipties does not interfere with open cable between the guides. Make sure the padding on the stem does not touch the pink headset cup, but instead rests on the top race (red).
Custom Cinco MAX for Women ~ X-frame Details
This bike was custom built from the frame up for a five foot tall woman from Steamboat Springs, Colorado. All photographs above and below are for the owner's local bike shop for unpacking and reassembling this woman-specific Dreamride Moots Cinco MAX. Notice the cable routing around the headtube and the zip tie on the front fork that captures the front brake cable. The photo directly above is of zip ties necessary to alter the path of the rear cables in order for the cables themselves to clear the seat collar and not slide back through the guide during suspension compression.
