Ellsworth Dare Packages

These two Ellsworth Dare bikes have been set up for freeriders. The Dreamride Edition Dare is more plush, suitable for taking on very rough trails, a bit more friendly in tight situations due to its slightly steeper head angle. Frankly, it feels like a heavier Truth with a lot of soft travel. We consider the Dreamride Edition Dare to be the ultimate all around Moab XC bike. The XDreamride Dare is for big drops and the higher speeds of more extreme riding. Both these bikes come with the XC swingarm that is not recommended for DH racing. The DH swingarm is available at no extra charge with a frameset only purchase. For a picture of the new 2001 Dare and more information on the Dare design click on DARE.

Xdreamride Edition Ellsworth Dare

XDREAMRIDE EDITION DARE
Dreamride dresses the Dare in the XDREAMRIDE GROUPPO to produce the ultimate freeride bike, a bike to take you anywhere, over any terrain. The XTR based grouppo has been chosen through experience with this particular bike with slight modifications for durability and reliability. This bike features 4.7 inches of front wheel travel via a Manitou Supernova fork with 20mm through axle in the 2000 model year bike and 180mm travel Manitou X-Vert Carbon fork in the 2001 model year bike. The rear suspension offers almost eight inches of travel with three inches taken up in sag. The resulting geometry produces extremely friendly point and shoot handling and a reasonable 32.5 pound weight (2000 model) and 34.5 pound weight for the 2001 model. The XDreamride Dare is our choice for all day rockin' on brutal trails like Porcupine Rim, Behind the Rocks, or The Eagle's Perch. Don't let this frame's downhill reputation fool you, if you are looking for a bike that will be good to you on rough trail. If you ride big rocks, then the XDREAMRIDE Dare is the bike for you. It is FORGIVING, stable and sexy as hell. It will go down stairs and you won't feel a thing, then you can turn around and go up the stairs with confidence. No energy is wasted trying to avoid obstacles or throwing your weight around to pick a line. Just point the bike where you want to go. The XDreamride Dare is highly recommended to strong riders who demand extreme confidence in their equipment. Please, don't ask about substitutions. The bike is perfect the way we build it. Componentry has been chosen to balance weight with strength and function. SEE IT!
