Custom Dreamride Moots Divide and MX Divide Bikes
$11,995 This is our favoritefull suspension XC/AM mountain bike offering as of 2014. It's the new high end trail racing version of the Divide MX with SRAM XX1 group, Magura TS8 fork and our own Dreamride-built wheelset featuring DT Chris King hubs and our new 35mm AM carbon rims! Light and strong and wide, and lighter than the Enve alternative. The bike as pictured without pedals is under 24 pounds (with Rocket Ron skin wall tires--add a quarter pound for thick sidewalls for rocky terrain). Price includes shipping anywhere in the 48 states and the following parts: Moots MX Divide frame and stem; Magura TS8 100mm or 120mm fork; Chris King inset headset; Magura MT8 brakeset; SRAM XX1 drivetrain; Enduro Ceramic Press Fit bottom bracket; FSA K-Force handlebar; WTB Pure V Team titanium saddle; Enve seatpost; Handbuilt Dreamride wheelset with Dreamride rims, DT 240S hubs and DT Competition spokes (comes with Stans NoTubes system installed; Schwalbe Rocket Ron tires).
It's not cheap and it takes up to eight weeks, but you end up with the best mountain bike you can buy.
Every bike we build at Dreamride is built for one person at a time and is a custom job, so we will install Rock Shox, Fox or Magura fork, Magura or Shimano brakes, or any choice of drivetrain. The Moots Divide is the queen of our full suspension offerings and she can come in 29, 27.5 or 26 inch wheel sizes. We will build up MX Divides at price points above $7500 and the parts and sizing become a matter of where you ride the bike, your riding style and your budget, but the Divide is the current state-of-the-at titanium full suspension frame and you will want a build that shows this machine the respect it deserves---and sometimes maxing it out doesn't cost more than just putting the most expensive parts on the bike.
TRAIL
Are you interested more in trail capability than purely focusing on light weight? The bike pictured at the top of this page is set up with adjustable travel, or we can substitute a longer axle to crown measurement via a stout Magura TS8 fork to give you a fork that lighter than the adjustable Fox Talus, yet stiffer and longer lasting. Shimano Shadow derailleurs are chosen for more capability over rocky terrain (less chance of banging the cage on a rock). XX1 rear derailleurs are not as low profile, so if you ride tight rocks, proceed with caution.
RACE
When light weight is the prime concern, a SRAM XX1 version with a lighter Fox Float or Rock Shox carbon crowned fork brings the weight all the way down below 24 pounds.
Details, details, detail.
Take a good look at some of the features of this new frame. There's lots of detail work here, from the carefully sculpted bent tubing to the extensive fishscale welds to the frame junctions, front rocker and bearing systems. You can see why this frame costs so much. We are frankly surprised that it isn't more. Check out the complexity in the welding in the lower pivot mount! Machines were fabricated to weld this frame together.
A - Fusion Swing Link
The link that connects the frame and shock to the seatstays is formed out of carbon fiber.
B - Titanium Seat Stays
Stays are ovalized and shaped for stiffness and clearance. The sculpted bearing points on each end are machined in-house at Moots.
C - Fox RP-23 Kashima Shock
Only the best shock available. New Kashima coating reduces friction on compression and rebound.
D - 30.9 Oversized Seatpost
The new industry standard seatpost diameter allows more extension out of the frame for more clearance.
E - Lower Pivot Design
Pivot placement works with the swing link to optimize shock performance all the way through its stroke. The bearings are oversized for minimal maintenance and maximum stiffness.
F- Oversized PF 30 Bottom Bracket
Better chain line and power transfer.
G - 44mm Head Tube
Beautiful smooth external butting. Lower stack height. You can run 1 1/2 to 1 1/8 tapered steerers.
H - Post Mount Rear Brake Mounts
It's about time! Light, clean and very strong. This will become the industry standard.
